April 5, 1999



The Board of Supervisors of Pennsbury Township held a regular meeting on Monday, April 5, 1999. All members were present and the minutes approved as submitted.

MANAGER REPORT

Ms. Howley reported the following:

George Asimos Jr will be researching ways to eradicate evasive plants around the park pond. He will let the Board know what the costs will be.

2020 Conference will be at East High School on April 22nd 4-7 p.m. The Board and Planning Commission members will attend.

Landowner's meeting will be on Monday, May 3rd at 7:30 P.M. at the Chadds Ford Winery. The regular township meeting will be rescheduled for 6 p.m. that evening in the township building. This will be advertised.

Application has been made to the Zoning Hearing Board by Martha Markley to have a real estate office in a home she hopes to purchase at the corner of Parkersville and Rt. 926.

General Code has submitted their critique of the ordinances which Mr. Patten, Mr. Asimos and myself will review.

Will respond to Anne Michelini's letter advising the School Board that we will meet with them at their convenience to discuss traffic safety concerns.

Clean up day will be April 24th. Wood chipping will be the week of April 19th.

ROADMASTER

Dave Allen reported the following:

Signs for the closing of Cossart Road should be delivered tomorrow morning. Received a letter from PennDot acknowledging the closing and sign placement.

The Co-op opened bids for road material and work last week. The lowest bids have been accepted except for stone which will go to Independent Construction Materials. Alpha Space - line painting, Shore Slurry - oil, Oil & Chip - Gorman Brothers.

Road inspection will be May 1st at 8 A.M.

ENGINEER

Matt Houtman reported the following:

McFadden driveway - wrote a letter and attached a drawing for the proposed driveway which would service the restaurant - one way in. It would have to be wide enough for emergency vehicles. Rusty Drumheller will issue a permit based on Matt's letter.

Have not heard anything from Mickey Bailey regarding their land disturbance permit.

Will work with Dave Allen and Dave Patten to contact Mr. Bailey regarding the proposed

work on Rt. 52 & Hickory Hill Road.

Have not heard from Jay March regarding the road dedication for Whitestone Farms.

Rusty Drumheller reported that he issued 10 zoning and 11 building permits during the month of March.

Reese Reynolds reported that a mock weather exercise was conducted at the township building on March 24th and attended by Bill Reynolds. Emergency power for the building is still an issue that should be resolved.

Traffic Safety Committee - Bill Holloway reported that there was discussion at their last meeting regarding the dangerous curve on Rt. 52 between Hillspring and Shadow Lane. It was agreed to contact PennDot and arrange for someone to come out and discuss the problems. It was suggested that the road may be banked wrong which adds to the danger. Bill stated that Dave Wittman is Chair of the committee and Ginger Mitch secretary. The next meeting is scheduled for June 9th at 7:30 P.M. in the township building.

A bill list numbering 1034-1068, State Fund 116, 117 was submitted and approved for payment by the Board. With no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
