The Board of Supervisors of Pennsbury Township held a regular meeting on Monday, July 19,
1999. All members were present and the minutes approved as submitted.
MANAGER
Ms. Howley reported the following:
Received a letter from Pennoni regarding Rt. 926 & Parkersville Road project. Sent a copy of the letter from PennDot regarding this project to Harry Lapsee of Pennoni. He commented that the time schedule noted in that letter is realistic and there should be no problem meeting those dates. Senator Bell visited the office last week and commented that he would be happy to help get the Step 9 approval for this project.
The amended proposal from Kummer & Ott for the historic preservation ordinance was signed by Bill Reynolds and a copy sent to the County Planning Commission.
It was noted the ZHB will continue the "Y" meetings at Hillendale School on August 9th and August 17th at 7:30 P.M.
Mr. Bowersox contacted the township and said he would not be pursuing the driveway issue on his lot off Hickory Hill Road. He will conform to set regulations for the installation of the driveway.
John Rosencrans sent a letter to the township regarding is fees for township building
construction plans. Mr. Holloway will contact Mr. Rosencrans about this.
ROADMASTER
Mr. Allen reported the following:
There has been several power outages at the intersection of Rts. 926 & 52 which is affecting the traffic lights. Contacted PECO and Signal Service about this to determine what can be done to prevent this.
Received a letter regarding the backup of traffic going south on Rt. 52 near 926. Observed this and concluded the timing of the lights are OK. The backup is the result of the work being done on Rt. 1 near Longwood and more people using this road.
PennDot is paving Rt. 926 at night through our township.
Finished the electrical hookup for the wells in the park.
Township received two letter of appreciation from residents regarding the work done by
our road crew.
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Rusty Drumheller reported the following:
Issued 7 zoning and 9 building permits during June.

Chadds Peak - they have a building permit for the barn only but no L&I approvals. MaryAnna Ralph will contact them about their work and process of getting the proper approvals before starting construction.
Issued a stop work order for the Orenshaw property on Hillendale Road and 32 Stirling Way on July 7th - sent them certified to Mr. Orenshaw.
There was an oil spill in the Pocopson Creek at Parkersville Road a couple of weeks ago. Mats have been placed in the stream. Ms. Howley will ask Reese Reynolds is he has any information on this.
Sent a letter to Mr. Pettinaro regarding the clean up of the dump site on his property.
OLD/NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Patten reported he did received a letter from Nextel stating SpectraSite is an affiliate and they
will comply with our agreement we have with Nextel.
Mr. Orenshaw has filed a motion in court July 14th asking the courts to vacate the motion of May
10, 1999. John Spangler has prepared an answer for the township.
A letter was received from Signal Service advising us that the signals at the intersection of Rt. 1 &
Ponds Edge Drive may not be Y2K compliant. An upgrade to the equipment would cost
$2320.00. The Board approved this upgrade.
The Board approved a 3% increase in salary for Harry Miller and James Decker.
A bill list dated July 19, 1999 numbering 1244-1277 and PLGIT #120 was submitted and
approved for payment by the Board.
