The Board of Supervisors of Pennsbury Township held a regular meeting on Monday, August 7, 2000. Messrs. Patten, Holloway, Reynolds and Ms. Howley were present. The minutes were approved as submitted.

Code Enforcement Officer Rusty Drumheller reported he issued 4 zoning and 5 building permits during the month of July.

Township Engineer Matt Houtmann reported the following:

Met with Margot Taylor August 4th and inspected lots 7 & 9 Courts at Longwood with regard to trees. Many trees have died and a letter to the developer will be written advising him to cut them down and replace them as stated in our subdivision ordinance. The remaining lots will be inspected at a future date and documented.

Received an email from Mr. Parker on Wedgewood Drive. Matt stated he received one call from Mr. Parker while he was on vacation. Matt will follow up with Mr. Parker on his drainage problem. CWA is presently doing work along the road edge and Dave Allen has been in contact with them advising them of drainage problems residents have been experiencing.

Will stake out the right of way on the Bailey property when the rain lets up.

Whitestone Farms - Jay March dropped off a letter and remaining documents in order to finish up on the road dedication. Mr. Patten will draft the road deed of dedication for the August 21st meeting.

Bill Holloway is still working with the neighbors on the possible road dedication of Hillspring.

Ponds Edge Drive - Subdivision and Maintenance Agreement and deed of dedication was signed by the Board. Mr. Patten will file the papers and notify PennDot.

Mr. Patten stated that since the Crosslands plan involved new property, they would have to file for a conditional use hearing before proceeding with the preliminary plan. Mr. Houtmann suggested the applicant proceed with the plan outline so that they could have it as a fair representation for the hearing.

Emergency Management Coordinator Reese Reynolds stated there would be a county meeting with USGS personnel at the township building on August 25th at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the flooding problems on Rt. 1. Chadds Ford Township has been notified.

Ridge at Chadds Ford - Jeff Berlin would like to dedicate the 3.9 acres of open space to the township or Land Trust. The Board stated they are not interested in accepting the open space therefore the Land Trust can. The Chester Water Authority should contact Mr. Berlin about getting public water into the development. Since Mr. Berlin was not present, the Board did not act on the preliminary plan but suggested he be present at the August 21st meeting. Ms. Howley will ask Mr. Berlin for an extension letter or the plan will have to be denied.

The township building project has been advertised for bids to be accepted at our September 18th meeting. There will be a walk through scheduled for August 17th for all interested parties.

Courts at Longwood - lots 4 & 5 - the Board advised Mr. Drumheller that until we get the proper legal documents to change the driveways and Matt gets the grading plan, these lots cannot be developed.

The library issues will be discussed at the August 21st meeting.

A 4% pay increase was approved by the Board for Harry Miller and James Decker.

A bill list dated August 7, 2000 numbering 2031-2063, PLGIT #128, State Fund 141 was submitted and approved for payment by the Board.

With no further business the meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted:
