Household Hazardous Waste Collection is held four times a year in various parts of the county. The locations closest to Pennsbury are: New Garden Township Building in September and Government Services Center, West Chester, in October. For information on what are acceptable materials visit: www.chesco.org/hhw.html.
Consumer electronics will also be accepted for recycling in October at the West Chester site.
Septic Tanks need to be inspected and/or pumped every three years and a notice sent to the township. Your hauler should have the forms. If not, download it here. It is the responsibility of the lot owner to make sure the reporting has been done.
Emergency Management is responsible for devising a plan for dealing with major disasters such as large fires, multi-vehicle accidents, hazardous material accidents, weather related incidents, etc. Emergency management coordinates all the emergency services needed in the event of an emergency.
